Have we got a hot record for you guys! Our partnership continues with Roadburn – the Dutch festival/label – and this time we bring you The Obsessed’s “Live in Koln” LP. Recorded in 1992 and featuring the line-up from “The Church Within” – Scott ‘Wino’ Weinrich on guitar/vocals, Greg Rogers on drums and Guy Pinhas on bass – “Live in Koln” is 10 monstrous slabs of doom that captures the band at their peak.

Our version comes with new artwork designed by Guy Pinhas, and we pressed 800 copies on grey vinyl and a very limited run of just 200 copies on blood red vinyl, only available from the Outer Battery website!

As we mentioned earlier our friends at Outer Battery Records are taking care of the distribution of our items in the USA. The first result was the White Hills – Live At Roadburn vinyl but now we have shipped way more stock to them.

If you are based in the US or Canada and shipping from Europe is too expensive (or to risky) for you, this is the way to get these imports for normal prices and local shipping. There’s vinyl from Neurosis, Wino, Scott Kelly, Lustmord, The Obsessed and more. What’s not to like!

And that’s not all. As you may have heard Gravedancer Records has released Conan’s Monnos in the US (or rather will release it next week) and they have some vinyl copies of the album available and some of the split CD with Slomatics at their online store. Get it while they are hot!

Lot’s of questions came in yesterday when we posted the news on Roadburn Records releasing The Obsessed Live in Koln vinyl. To cut it short the main question was: how does it sound? Exactly for that reason we have posted the first track from the album on Bandcamp. Not to buy but just to get an idea on how the quality of the live album will be. We guess you won’t be dissapointed!

Roadburn Records is proud as a peacock to announce the release of the first slab of black vinyl from the mighty Obsessed in many years. Live in Koln December 29th 1992 captures the band live at their peak and is released to celebrate the bands come back on Roadburn on April 14th 2012. This one will be vinyl only. The recordings were mastered by James Plotkin.

The record (and shows) will be featuring the lineup from The Church Within; Scott “Wino” Weinrich on guitar/vocals, Greg Rogers (Goatsnake, Sonic Medusa) on drums and Guy Pinhas (Acid King, Goatsnake and Beaver) on bass.

The tracklist:
A: Mourning, Hiding Mask, The Way She Fly, Forever Midnight, Streamlined
B:  Brother Blue Steel, Blind Lightning, Neatz Brigade, River Of Soul

The album will first be available at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg on April 12th 2012. All pre-orders that will be picked up there will include the limited edition 7″ that goes with the album with two secret never before released tracks. All other copies will not include the single.
