The plant informed us that the records will be in in a few weeks so we can start the pre-order of the Dead To A Dying World Live At Roadburn 2016 LP+CD on Roadburn Records/Lay Bare Recordings. We have two versions: 100 copies on gold vinyl and 200 copies on black vinyl. Both are available on the links below, both in Europe as in the US/CA. Copies will be sent out in 3 or 4 weeks from now. Get in on the action now as gone = gone.
The Texas band Dead to a Dying World’s live album is a hybrid of doom, black metal, and crust punk, buttressed by baroque classical flourishes and focused on the state of the world and its rather grim prospects. Its six extended pieces commingle melodrama and momentum, horror and hope, pulling the listener along like a tight-wire suspense flick.
(PS we also started the pre-sale of the repress of the Elder Live At Roadburn LP+CD if you want to pick them up together).

It is with great honour Roadburn records can announce the release of The Hague punk space warriors Orange Sunshine will release their 2007 set on the main stage on vinyl. The release – that was earlier available on the searched after cassette on Who Can You Trust Records from Germany was mixed and mastered by evil mastermind Guy Tavares (also on drums and vocals) . The sleeve design (click = big) was in the capable hands of Mehdi Rouchiche, bassist and also known s Godspill.
What if the 60’s were as wildly murderous a time as these strange days? What if it was ALL Charlie Manson and napalm and muddy drugfreak people and Up Against the Wall, Motherfucker? Well, then, there’d only be, like, 5 bands left standing- the Stooges, the MC5, Hendrix, Blue Cheer, and Orange Sunshine. Not that dutch acid-warriors OS were actually THERE or nothin’, the cats in the band are all like, 25 years old, but they sure the fuck sound it. This is the best idea 60’s drug rock has inspired since that time you dipped an entire Freak Brothers comic in blotter acid. See ya on the spaceship. (Sleazegrinder.com)
The album will be first available on the 2017-edition of Roadburn where all pre-orders can also be picked up and after that in all good record ships around the world. Pre-orders will be taken early March and will include a Orange Sunshine shirt with the first 100 copies.
For now: listen to the whole set on Bandcamp, it’s available in full and for “Name your price”.
Burning World Records is proud to announce that the 6th instalment of the ongoing Ommadon release series will see the light of day on vinyl on April 8th 2016. This release is titles S/T and is a coproduction with Dry Cough Recordings in Manchester and Media Crush Recordings in Toronto. The vinyl will be limited to 300 copies worldwide and artwork was provided by Timo Ketola.
Burning World Records already released Ommadon V on vinyl in 2014. In the meantime the band released an EP on Golden Mantra titled Empathy For The Wicked and I to IV on tape on Tartarus Records.
More info on Ommadon:
Ommadon is self-titled because this is what we set out to be from the beginning. This is not entertainment. This is not easy listening. Ommadon is pure and primitive heaviness. Ommadon is the outcast, the fallen angel, the darkness. Ommadon is the darkness which we are told to fear, to avert our eyes and cower from, to candy coat the suffering, the decay, and the death which give life meaning. Ommadon is the intolerable agony, the paralysing misery, and the stifling alienation, which make us who we are. Ommadon does not submit to the simplification of the horror and the beauty of existence into a world of positivity and negativity where we feel nothing but simulations of what happiness could be like or terror that sadness may disrupt our mass stupor. Ommadon embraces the dark, not as a manufactured rebellion or infantile inversion of stories of good and evil to which we must submit ourselves. Ommadon allows us to reinvent ourselves by destroying what we believe we hold dear but which only slows our steps. Ommadon is for those who know that in fearing death, one fears life, sleepwalking through life, waiting to die. Ommadon is for those who know that only in facing and loving death can you live freely. Ommadon is the world and the world is Ommadon.

Weighing Souls With Sand by Angelic Process was the 2nd release of Roadburn records way back in 2007 (wow has it bee that long? We feel a 10 year anniversary coming up!). The record has gained notoriety over the years as the best thing that has come out of the combined minds of K Angylus and M Dragynfly. All though we like Coma Wearing and other releases from them as well WSWS has always had a special place in our hearts because – well we released it!
The album was also catching crazy money on Ebay and such and we also had a lot of requests for a reissue so we are glad to announce that this will happen after 9 years. The double album (including one vinyl-only track on side D!) will be out in March and pre-orders will go up next week. More info on the release then as the artwork has been slightly altered and a dedication to K Angylus was added.
For those not familiar with the album. This is quote from the Popmatters-review at the time: The variation the pair displays is sublime: we get the drone of Boris, the experimental noise of Swans, the mechanical crunch of Godflesh, the epic scope of Isis, the awe-inspiring power of Neurosis, and the sumptuous beauty of My Bloody Valentine all at once, as the musicians croon and scream, the oblique vocals in the vein of classic shoegaze from the early 1990s. The enveloping effect of the album’s mix is stunning, as the underlying melodies bring genuine warmth, radiating from the massive wall of sound.

Uzala – Live At Roadburn 2015 LP is now available for pre-order. The album has been pressed on 3 colors; black, brown and white. All are the same price and will be shipped out in 2 weeks. Get your copy on the link below.
This is what JJ over at The Obelisk had to say about the gig and the recordings. “I’ll make no claim toward objectivity when it comes to listening to Uzala’s Live at Roadburn MMXV, but whether it’s as a complement to Tales of Blood and Fire or a precursor to their yet-unannounced next release with the new songs, their Roadburn set is a beast to behold, and if having been there affords me any authority at all on the subject, let it be to say that the live album accurately reflects how it went down on stage. They actually were this crisp and this on-point throughout their time in the Green Room, and at a fest where the impulse to be pulled in (at least) five directions at once, it was the kind of thing you couldn’t help but stand and watch front to back. I’m glad I did, and I’m glad I have Uzala‘s Live at Roadburn MMXV to remember it by.”
- Get your copy in the Burning World Store.
- Listen to the whole set on our Bandcamp-page (where more Roadburn-sets are to be found on “Pay what you want-basis”)
- For the USA/Canada we’d recommend waiting a few weeks when the shipment to Outer Battery has arrived.

Head over to the Invisible Oranges-site for an exclusive stream of Terzij de Horde’s Self. Out October 19th 2015 worldwide on vinyl, cd, tape and digital.
Here’s what they had to say about the album: “To say Terzij de Horde’s full-length debut has been a long time coming would be a vast understatement. Existing in various forms since 2007, this Dutch five-piece’s various EPs, splits, and a special tribute to poet Hendrik Marsman offered brief, tempting glimpses into their masterful fusion of dark neocrust and expansive black metal discord, but just enough to really whet one’s palette.
Enter Self, the culmination of Terzij de Horde’s eight years of tumultuous existence. An ode to the shedding of one’s monastic self and embracing mind-body dualism, Self mirrors its thematic elements with a striking sonic duality. A stunning alternation between shimmering, near-post-rock heights and jagged, jarring discordance, Terzij de Horde’s unbridled passion remains steadfast as our protagonist sheds his singular self for the fungus it really is.”
The creature, the traveller, is torn apart
Opened, turned outward toward death
Its thinking deranged and outraged
Its seamless garment rent
-”Sacrifice – A Final Paroxysm”, Joost Vervoort/Terzij de Horde
Buy here (on vinyl or cd).
Officially Terzij de Horde’s Self is out on october 19th 2015 but pre-sales are up now for the cd and vinyl (blue).
Noisey premiered the first track of the album, Absense and wrote about the band: “Utrecht’s Terzij de Horde are part of the Netherlands’ reliably excellent black metal scene (also home to Urfaust, Nihill, Dodecahedron, and, in a way, the dearly departed The Devil’s Blood) and have distinguished themselves by dint of a captivating, layered sound that blasts a black metal core with fragments of noise and heavy doses of melancholia. It is poetic, cerebral music that channels aggression and catharsis into something fruitful.” (Kim Kelly).
Today Cvlt Nation premiered the 2nd track and wrote: “Every song you will hear is thick with emotion and pounds your inner being with their urgent riffs. CVLT Nation has been given the honor of sharing with you Terzij de Horde’s beast of track “Sacrifice – A Final Paroxysm” below. The title of this record is perfect because there is something very introspective about this band’s music that will have you looking inside of your Self. Hit up the labels for the pre-orders that are in effect now!”
