ORANGE SUNHINE to release Live at Roadburn 2007 LP. Artwork available

It is with great honour Roadburn records can announce the release of The Hague punk space warriors Orange Sunshine will release their 2007 set on the main stage on vinyl. The release – that was earlier available on the searched after cassette on Who Can You Trust Records from Germany was mixed and mastered by evil mastermind Guy Tavares (also on drums and vocals) . The sleeve design (click = big) was in the capable hands of Mehdi Rouchiche, bassist and also known s Godspill.

What if the 60’s were as wildly murderous a time as these strange days? What if it was ALL Charlie Manson and napalm and muddy drugfreak people and Up Against the Wall, Motherfucker? Well, then, there’d only be, like, 5 bands left standing- the Stooges, the MC5, Hendrix, Blue Cheer, and Orange Sunshine. Not that dutch acid-warriors OS were actually THERE or nothin’, the cats in the band are all like, 25 years old, but they sure the fuck sound it. This is the best idea 60’s drug rock has inspired since that time you dipped an entire Freak Brothers comic in blotter acid. See ya on the spaceship. (Sleazegrinder.com)

The album will be first available on the 2017-edition of Roadburn where all pre-orders can also be picked up and after that in all good record ships around the world. Pre-orders will be taken early March and will include a Orange Sunshine shirt with the first 100 copies.

For now: listen to the whole set on Bandcamp, it’s available in full and for “Name your price”.

ULVER Live At Roadburn 2LP (+ shirt!) and CD now available for pre-sale

ULVER_cd-roadburndigipakEarly pioneers of Norwegian black metal Ulver have continually evolved over the years to become living legends of the dark music genre. By blending rock, electronic, industrial and symphonic traditions along with ambient soundscapes and experimental sounds, the band has created truly groundbreaking material.

Ulver returned with Childhood’s End, a collection of classic psychedelic tracks recorded by the band during various sessions starting in late 2008 and ending in late 2011. “This is the stuff that we sit at home and get stoked about,” Kristoffer Rygg explained in an interview. “I grew up with parents who were still listening to music from the time, so it informed my childhood, but it has became an ever increasing geeky sort of fetish since then.”

This passion for Sixties garage rock and psychedelia and the countless underground gems that remain unknown to many inspired the band to record their own interpretations of some of their favorite songs from the era. “My feeling is that most people’s knowledge sort of limits itself to The Doors,” said Rygg, “The Doors were cool, but there was so much else going on in the underground, records that got lost and didn’t get as much recognition as they deserved in my opinion.”

Ulver performed the tracks from Childhood’s End for the first and only time live at Roadburn 2012. Their “1967” performance, mixed by Kristoffer Rygg and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano, will be released on 2LP and CD through Burning World Records and available at this year’s Roadburn Festival.

That album is now available for pre-order on vinyl and cd and will be sent out the 2nd week of April 2013 or can be picked up at the Roadburn Festival 2013.

The vinyl is available in 3 colors:

  • Gold (100 copies, only available at Burning World Records),
  • White (300 copies, only available at Burning World Record and the USA)
  • Black (600 copies, available at Burning World Records and all good shops near you!)

There is also an option to buy all 3 colors at a special price and the gold version is also available in a package with a shirt (round sleeve design, gold on black). Get it here.
