seiromBurning World Records is proud to reveal that the second album from Seirom ‘and the light swallowed everything’ will be released on our label. We’ve been a fan of Mories work since the beginning when we released Gnaw Their Tongues  An Epiphanic Vomiting Of Blood on vinyl and later on All the slaves … EP on cd and All the Dread Magnificense on vinyl. That history will now be continued with his new project Seirom.

Seirom is the personal musical outlet of Mories of Gnaw Their Tongues / De Magia Veterum / Aderlating. with Seirom, Mories leaves the darkness of his other projects behind and moves into lighter shades.

ATLANTIS to release new album Omens this October on Burning World Records

atlanti liveBurning World Records is proud and elated to announce that Dutch outfit Atlantis will release it’s new studio album Omens on Burning World Records. The record will be out in October both on cd, vinyl and digital.

Atlantis was started in 2006 as a solo project by Gilson Heitinga taking influences from film scores, noise, doom, 70‘s psychedelia, ambient & electronica as well as Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Neurosis, Portishead, SWANS, Clint Mansell.

After hearing a number of demos Atlantis was signed to Field Records to release the debut album Carpe Omnium in 2007 receiving great reviews. To support this release a live band was formed and their first show was at the Dutch Incubate Festival. Atlantis toured the first half of 2012 in support of the La Petite Mort EP including playing the infamous Roadburn Festival, and Belgians Dunk!Festival.

After the 4 previous releases and tours all over Europe, it was time to do things a bit different. Gilson started writing and recording the new full-length between August 2012 until December 2012. Being inspired by the overwhelming sound of the live band, it was decided to record live drums (instead of programming them), more guitars, more analog synths AND more vocals to create a spectrum of sound and noise that would smash into a living room as well as a live environment. Having collaborated on Mistress Of Ghosts with the singer Big from Germany and on the
La Petite Mort EP with Swedens Johannes Persson (from Cult Of Luna), it was this time Sanne Mus (a professionally trained classical vocalist) who brought her voice and skills to the table on the songs “And She Drops The 7th Veil” and “Omen”.

And so here it comes, the new Atlantis album : OMENS sonically inspired by the Atlantis live band and the emotions that come to play as things change and you can sense there are events going to happen, positive as negative.
Mixed by Gilson Heitinga and mastered by husc.sound. Atlantis is ready to tour relentlessly in support of OMENS!

Burning World warehouse closed till August 10th: shipping orders postponed

We have good news and bad news. We’ll start with the good.

All items that will be shipped from our warehouse will be with track & trace from now on with no extra costs for you, the buyer. We know in the US that is normal, here in Europe it is not. You have to pay extra to send it registered or pay extra to have track & trace. So basically: you always pay extra. And we have to charge extra. We have found a new shipping company that offers track & trace with each item for the same price as our old shipper (or shipper, our Dutch national mail company). As we are internet buyers ourselves and value that we know when a packet is on it’s way we are sure you will do too.

And now the bad. Due to vacation (enjoy Japan JP!) shipping items from our online store and the Discogs store will be postponed till August 10th 2012. The items you order will be set aside for you and ready to ship on August 10th. Our American store at Outer Battery will stay open these 3 weeks.
