“We know you have been waiting for this for a while, so here it comes… We are thrilled to announce that our first album will be released in CD, vinyl and digital versions and will be available worldwide. The CD version will be released by the Spanish label Xtreem Music and the digital and vinyl versions will be released by the Dutch label Burning World Records (label managed by Roadburn Records, but used for their own non-live releases). The album was recorded, produced and mixed by Totengott at Anglagard Recording Studios (Grao, Spain) during late 2016 / early 2017, and was mastered by James Plotkin (well known for his work with bands like Conan, Electric Wizard, Isis, Amenra, Thou, Jesu…). Artwork by Proceso Negro Art Studio. Release date, title, artwork, tracklist and other info will be released in the next weeks, so stay tuned! Promo picture has been shot by the mighty Jaime Photolive.”
Invisible Oranges did a write up about the Celestial Bodies album Spit Forth From Chaos that will be out on CD in March on I, Voidhanger Records, with LP release to come end of spring/early summer from Burning World Records.
Chaos embodied in metal is a result of faulty poetics. The chaos worshipped by black metal and grindcore bands is demonstrated with lovely rhetoric and unbridled spirit, but chaos cannot be contained within song structure and melody. Not to disregard black metal, but chaos, in its own right, cannot be caged. As we have all learned, chaos is erratic, irregular, violent but never directional. Rhetoric is an integral part of music, especially in black metal’s multidisciplinary approach, but newcomers Celestial Bodies‘s ceremonious shedding of metal’s limitations, like Abruptum before them, transforms words on paper into action.

As a result of JP leaving we still have some stock between us that has to go. That is why we decided to blow it out all at once in this December sale. Gives you a chance to complete your Burning World Records or Roadburn Records collection. Here’s the list of items we have seriously lowered in price. We decided also to include some record from the mailorder that we still have a lot stock of. This offer will run till January 1st 2017. Prices will revert back to ‘normal’ then.
All records are great as far as we are concerned, or even brilliant if you ask us. Why would we otherwise have released them? 😉 But if you decide to pick up only one we advise to check out the Seirom album. It’s Mories from Gnaw Their Tongues showing his softer. shoegazy side (Bandcamp!) and the record is a modern day classic to our ears. Hope you agree! The price is behind the titles:
We are releasing the Yen Pox album together with Malignant Records in the USA. So if you live there or in Canada please check their online store for cheaper shipping rates on that album. Mnemonic Induction is ours worldwide.
Burning World Records is proud to present a new label to add to the roster that already includes Roadburn Records and Lay Bare Recordings. Burning Inside Records will focus on the dark ambient music on vinyl and the two first releases can be seen as a statement of intent.
First up will be the Yen Pox album “Between The Horizon and the Abyss” on double vinyl. The album has turned up on lots of end of yearlists for 2015 and we thought it needed a vinyl version to fully experience the depth and darkness of the material. Next to the beautifull artwork that now can be seen in all it’s majestic splendor. The cd-version was released by Malignant Records in the US and the vinyl version will be a split release between Burning Inside Records for Europe and Malignant for the USA.
We can’t agree more with the words that blog The Sound Not the Word penned down on the album: “Whilst it’s undeniably a dark ambient album – full of drones, loops, and sounds that haunt you long after the album has stopped playing – there is an extra, more musical sense to it compared with most other albums of the genre, which gives the album a very strong foundation, and helps keep it interesting and listenable. In a genre filled with releases that often feel interchangeable, Yen Pox have created something with clear character, that is incredibly strong and deserves recognition as not just one of the year’s best records, but as a high watermark for the genre.”
