Though it only lasts two tracks but conversely- 35 minutes, the new EP from Altar of Plagues, Tides, is every bit as powerful as White Tomb, one of my favorite LPs of last year. AoP’s new Tides EP is currently up for pre-order via Burning World Records cop it, but until that package arrives, make sure and dig on “Atlantic Lights” from the EP 50% of the record! , which makes it’s world premiere here!

Burning World Records is proud to present the coop we are doing with USA’s Southern Lord label run by the mighty Greg Anderson who is also a part of Goatsnake. Especially for the (for now) one off show they are going to do at Roadburn 2010, Burning World Records and Southern Lord will re-issue Goatsnake’s Flower of Disease and I + Dog Days on vinyl. For Europe there is a special color vinyl: purple.

Roadburn Records (& Burning World Records) was chosen as label of the month by our good friends at Terrorizer mag. We got to explain our label filosofy and got to chose our 5 favourite records that were released by Roadburn Records or Burning World Records. Next to that we got to announce our coop with doomlabel extra ordinaire Southern Lord on the vinyl version of Flower of Disease and I + Dog Days. Wino will release his 2009 Sunday set on cd and double vinyl with us and next to that the Neurosis 2007 set on Roadburn. Neurot will do the cd duties, we will handle the vinyl. Expect the Goatsnake albums in May and Neurosis somewhere in the fall of 2010. No date is set yet for that last one, the Goatsnake vinyls are already in production.
